Food for the Soul Mural
Dorothy Day Hospitality House 11 Spring St. Danbury, CT
Sept 2, 2018
The Dorothy Day Mural of Hope in Danbury, CT looks to feed the soul of those in need while honoring the dignity of all people. The 60 x 60 in. mosaic mural was created in the dining room of the Dorothy Day Hospitality House in the Summer 2018 from donated mirror, tile and found objects. The Dorothy Day Hospitality House serves between 60-80 hot meals per day and shelters on average 13 people overnight, all run on the generosity of volunteers and donations. It was an honor to work with the people of Dorothy Day in the creation of this special mural. Please read the below newspaper articles for more information on the Food for the Soul Mural.
This mural has been created In Memory and Honor of my parents
Frank and Jeanne Salerno.
